劉湛庠弟兄也服事過我，主要的是服事我的家。當時我年齡還小，印像中他對我母親影響非常大。當時我媽媽是寡母，來我家照顧她的，影響她的，就是同工劉弟兄的妻子。我母親的屬靈情形多由姊妹學來。所以我常常鼓勵年輕的同工及其姊妹。

對於劉弟兄，我有一個非常深刻的印象。記得當時我妹妹沒考上花蓮的高中，她還得去考臺東的學校。我以為我媽媽請了某人帶她去，結果那天是劉湛庠弟兄親自來，接我初中的妹妹去臺東。我問母親：『沒有別人嗎？怎麼是劉伯伯來呢？』我母親說：『劉弟兄有負擔阿！』劉弟兄的服事就是如此的細緻，即使是小孩子，他也親自服事，坐火車碰碰碰到臺東去，住在一位弟兄家，就是張麗英的爸爸家。過了兩天考完試，再坐火車碰碰碰回花蓮。比起劉弟兄這樣的服事，我們真是差多了！
