劉弟兄在中壢召會艱困的耕耘

約在一九六六年劉弟兄來到中壢召會，接續袁啟安弟兄的服事，那時候中壢召會就是南桃園的六鄉鎮，包括中壢、楊梅、平鎮、龍潭、新屋、觀音，地區遼闊，有三處會所：中壢、忠貞和石門水庫（即現在龍潭佳安會所），弟兄姊妹人數不多，多為從大陸來之軍人、軍眷，他們散居各處，中壢本鎮人數很少。
剛好又遇到兩年前的兩次風波：一為新約教會江端儀的大風暴，把很多弟兄姊妹吹散；一為我們中間四大金剛把石門水庫會所佔據了，好不容易收回來後，只剩下幾人。
外在環境如此艱峻，又因劉弟兄有高血壓、糖尿病，需要在飲食上受限制，就引起看會所兼廚房服事弟兄的誤會，很不愉快。所以劉弟兄每日三餐，用一個不銹鋼杯、電爐自煮自吃。
在這樣的艱困中，他仍不屈不撓、殷勤的照顧各處的弟兄姊妹。我在軍中甚不自由，也只有在休假時偶爾陪他去看望弟兄姊妹。他雖是那樣的孤單，生活、服事又是這樣的艱難，但他仍堅毅勤勞的奔波、照顧召會，直到把弟兄姊妹服事到對主有愛心，對真理有認識的地步，也把長老設立起來，他才離開。
