勝過天然情感而活基督的人

三十多年前，因着和繼恩弟兄有配搭服事，我從他的口中，認識了劉老弟兄，因為繼恩常題到非常佩服他的父親，從他身上看到活基督的美德。

記憶最深刻的一次，是在一九七八年五月十二日繼恩的結婚聚會時，我聽到了劉老弟兄的交通，因繼恩的母親早逝，他從小將繼恩帶大。後來繼恩上了大學，過召會生活，在臺北服事，常常很忙，很少回家。他知道繼恩不能回來的原因，是因為他的服事忙，是為着主，服事弟兄姊妹，服事神。所以每當他想念繼恩時，就拿出照片來，告訴自己：『他是我的兒子。其實我可以叫他回來，但是我不願意這麼作。』由此可看出，這位年長弟兄，生命成熟到一個地步，勝過天然的情感，如果不是活在基督裏，一般人是很難作到，他是聖徒的榜樣，讓人看出他是在基督裏，是神人。
