他，不僅是一位長者，更是一位爭戰的勇者，直到他因發燒住院之前的幾天，他仍勉強自己要人攙扶著到聚會中，不僅是在主面前，也是在弟兄姊妹中間。他所行的正如他所說的：『在主的道路上，要拼上去』。他所留下美好的風範和榜樣，的確激勵眾聖徒。在劉弟兄身上，我們摸著：

一、靈中發旺：他是一個活在神面前的人。這幾年由於他身體漸弱，在人面前不多言語，但他常顯出一無掛慮、喜樂歡騰的表情，這證實他常在深處與主有交通。偶爾有聚會請他禱告，他總是越過他身體的限制，盡力釋放他的靈，令人印象深刻。

二、愛中牧養：聽聞諸多聖徒的見證，他們如何受到劉弟兄的供應。他殷勤的看望聖徒，不僅在人性的顧惜上極為柔細，且在主的話上多方供應、牧養。許多的家及個別的聖徒因他的牧養而復蘇。尤其他在神面前許多主觀的經歷，成了信徒的應時幫助。

三、竭力拼上：他住在二樓公寓，若要參加每週四的長青聚會，以他的身體狀況，必須緩步扶持下樓，而且上車下車都極為不便，需花費相當長的時間。但只因他的拼上和絕對，即使再冷的天，再大的雨，仍難不倒他堅剛的意志。在他身上，我看見李弟兄所說的：要把神所造魂中『意志』的揀選用在對的事上，尤其用在神的事上。他看見年輕的弟兄們配搭盡職時，總是帶著微笑傾聽、扶持。

四、忠信跟隨：他早期受倪柝聲、張郁嵐、李常受等弟兄的成全和幫助。他靈中清楚看見，心中也認定主在這時代所興起的職事，儘管經過許多的風波，他始終堅定不受搖動。他告訴弟兄們：『無論個人或是召會，只要跟隨職事就必蒙福。』他特別提醒弟兄們，服事主、走主的道路，要注意我們在神面前的所是、存心和動機。就連最近的風波，在老弟兄裡面也是清明的。感謝主，因著他的忠信加上服事的弟兄們緊緊跟隨這分職事，使召會在風波中蒙保守而不動搖，並且積極的在基督身體的交通中往前。
